Abstract

azentec was hired to work along with Lifetime Fitness to achieve maintainability, scalability, and performance enhancement for its system.

The Challenge

Lifetime Fitness is facing challenges like maintainability and scalability. With the growing user base and functional requirements, it was facing problems related to performance of the system. The system was not able to handle more than ten concurrent users. Therefore, it was looking for scalability of their system.

How We Helped

azentec assisted Lifetime Fitness to make their system more scalable, maintainable, reliable, and has helped in improving its performance. azentec's testing and development team worked in a collaborative mode to achieve these goals.

azentec created mock scenario testings of the system, developed testing strategies, developed test scripts for all the scenarios, executed the scripts, and identified performance bottlenecks. azentec accomplished the code fine-tuning, removal of redundant components, which in turn caused the application to supports 1000 concurrent users.

Lessons Learned

azentec learned to identify the performance bottlenecks for Lifetime's business applications. Through this process we have also begun automation testing using different tools. Analyzing the test results, troubleshooting, and debugging the business applications have been an educational experience for our firm as well.
